Infinitive   without   to  

คือ  กริยาที่ไม่ผันตามประธาน หรือ  Tense  และไม่มี  to นำหน้า  มีหลักการใช้ดังนี้

              1.   ไว้หลังกริยาช่วยและกริยาพิเศษต่อไป   can ,  could  , may  , migh .      ( Modal verb )      เช่น  Can you speak  Thail ?      

               2.   ใช้กับกริยาที่กับสัมผัส  คือ   หู  ตา  จมูก   ผิวหนัง   ได้แก่  let  ,hear ,feel,  make ,   notice ,  see ,  smell , watch   เช่น  please  let  me go.

             3.ใช้  would  rather ,  had  better v.1   รวมทั้ง  Need และ dare  เมื่อใช้กริยาช่วย              
              4.  Why + infinitive   without  to  ใช้เป็นคำถาม  โดยลักษณะคำนามมักจะเป็นการเสนอแนะว่าเป็นการไม่ฉลาด  หรือไร้ประโยชน์ที่จะทำ                                       
              5. เมื่อมี  infinitive 2  คำเชื่อมด้วยกัน  and , or , except , but  หรือ  than  infinitive  คำที่ 2 จะเป็น Infinitive  without  to  เช่น   I’d   like to go  shopping  and  buy  things .
